energy first or matter first

     I think,  in my point of view, that energy came first, energy is a matter in another form,or in another dimension of consciousness.so how we can can interchange matter and energy, keeping the same original properties of both.  e.g.  you can imagine someone in your mind, that is energy, but this imagined photo how it becomes a real person. what is the difference between a dream and the real world,  how we differentiate that we are in a real world not in a dream??? big question we must answer ?
